Journal ArticleDOI
Crystal Growth and Scintillation Properties of Ce Doped ${\rm Gd}_{3}({\rm Ga},{\rm Al})_{5}{\rm O}_{12}$ Single Crystals
Kei Kamada,Takayuki Yanagida,J. Pejchal,M. Nikl,Takanori Endo,Kousuke Tsutsumi,Yutaka Fujimoto,Akihiro Fukabori,Akira Yoshikawa +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, light yield change along the growth direction and effects of Ce concentration on scintillation properties in Ce:GAGG were studied and it was proposed that the increase of Ga concentration along the growing direction is the main cause of the decrease of LY.
Journal ArticleDOI
Scintillation Properties of Transparent Ceramic Pr:LuAG for Different Pr Concentration
Takayuki Yanagida,Yutaka Fujimoto,Kei Kamada,Daisuke Totsuka,Hideki Yagi,Takagimi Yanagitani,Yoshisuke Futami,Satoko Yanagida,Shunsuke Kurosawa,Yuui Yokota,Akira Yoshikawa,M. Nikl +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, a transparent optical ceramic of Pr 0.2-1% doped Lu3Al5 O12 (Pr:LuAG) was manufactured by the sintering method.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preparation and luminescence properties of ZnO:Ga - polystyrene composite scintillator.
Hana Burešová,Lenka Procházková,Rosana Martinez Turtos,V. Jarý,Eva Mihokova,Alena Beitlerova,Radek Pjatkan,Stefan Gundacker,E. Auffray,Paul Lecoq,M. Nikl,Václav Čuba +11 more
TL;DR: These features suggest the presence of non-radiative energy transfer from polystyrene host towards the ZnO:Ga scintillating phase which is confirmed by the measurement of X-ray excited scintillation decay with picosecond time resolution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Scintillation Properties of ${\rm Ce}^{3+}$ - and ${\rm Pr}^{3+}$ -Doped LuAG, YAG and Mixed ${\rm Lu}_{\rm x}{\rm Y}_{1-{\rm x}}{\rm AG}$ Garnet Crystals
TL;DR: In this article, the state-of-the-art results for light yield, energy resolution, and proportionality of mixed Ce3+ and Pr3+-doped mixed (LuxY1-x)3Al5O12 (LuYAG) garnet scintillator crystals were compared with those of single crystal analogues.
Journal ArticleDOI
Structural and optical properties of Vernier phase lutetium oxyfluorides doped with lanthanide ions: interesting candidates as scintillators and X-ray phosphors
Tiziana Passuello,Fabio Piccinelli,M. Trevisani,Marco Giarola,Gino Mariotto,Lukasz Marciniak,Dariusz Hreniak,Malgorzata Guzik,Mauro Fasoli,Anna Vedda,Vitezslav Jary,M. Nikl,Valerio Causin,Marco Bettinelli,Adolfo Speghini +14 more
TL;DR: The structural disorder of the host matrix significantly affects the optical emission spectra of the lutetium oxyfluoride submicrometre powders as well as their vibrational spectra.
