The case for a directional dark matter detector and the status of current experimental efforts

S. P. Ahlen, +113 more
TL;DR: The case for a dark matter detector with directional sensitivity was presented at the 2009 CYGNUS workshop on directional dark matter detection, and contributions from theorists and experimental groups in the field as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Defect Engineering in Ce-Doped Aluminum Garnet Single Crystal Scintillators

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of Mg codopant on scintillation was investigated in single crystal scintillators, which were prepared by a micropulling down method in a wide concentration range from 0 to 3000 ppm of mg-codopant.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cz grown 2-in. size Ce:Gd3(Al,Ga)5O12 single crystal; relationship between Al, Ga site occupancy and scintillation properties

TL;DR: The dependence of scintillation properties on crystal structure and Al-Ga was discussed in this article, where the Czochralski (Cz) method was used to grow Gd 3 (Al 1 − x Ga x ) 5 O 12 (GAGG) single crystals with various Ga concentration of x ǫ = 2, 2.4 and 2.7.
Journal ArticleDOI

Temperature Dependence of Scintillation Properties of Bright Oxide Scintillators for Well-Logging

TL;DR: In this article, the pulse height, energy resolution, and decay time of single crystals of Tl-doped NaI (Tl:NaI), Lu2SiO5 (Ce:LSO), YAP, Gd3Gd3(Al,Ga)5O12 (Cce:GAGG), undoped LuAG, and YAP transparent ceramics were compared at 25-150 °C to simulate well logging conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Alkali earth co-doping effects on luminescence and scintillation properties of Ce doped Gd3Al2Ga3O12 scintillator

TL;DR: The Mg and Ca co-doped Ce:Gd3Al2Ga3O12 single crystals were prepared by micro pulling down method with a wide concentration range 0-1000ppm of the codopants as mentioned in this paper.
