Development of Decadal (1985–1995–2005) Land Use and Land Cover Database for India

TL;DR: The present study utilizes the satellite images to generate national level LULC maps at decadal intervals for 1985, 1995 and 2005 using onscreen visual interpretation techniques with minimum mapping unit of 2.5 hectares to conclude that this dataset has captured the maximum cumulative patch diversity frequency, indicating the detailed representation that can be attributed to the on- screen visual interpretation technique.
Journal ArticleDOI

A nanocomposite consisting of porous graphitic carbon nitride nanosheets and oxidized multiwalled carbon nanotubes for simultaneous stripping voltammetric determination of cadmium(II), mercury(II), lead(II) and zinc(II).

TL;DR: A screen printed electrode (SPE) modified with 3D porous g-C3N4 and O-MWCNTs is used for the simultaneous detection of four heavy metals and the results demonstrated the good accuracy and reproducibility of the method.

Remote Sensing and GIS Applications on Change Detection Study in Coastal Zone Using Multi Temporal Satellite Data

TL;DR: In this article, remote sensing and geographic information system (GIS) were used in order to study landuse/landcover changes. And it has been observed that the important coastal land use types of Vedaranniyam coast (Creeks, Rivers) have been reduced significantly in their extent due to reclamation, dredging, tipping and other anthropogenic activities along the coastal zone.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrochemical determination of 4-nitrophenol in environmental water samples using porous graphitic carbon nitride-coated screen-printed electrode

TL;DR: A facile preparation of novel oxidized graphitic carbon nitride (O-gC 3 N 4) is applied as an efficient electrocatalyst for highly sensitive electrochemical detection of 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) in environmental water samples.
Journal ArticleDOI

Geospatial Analysis for Coastal Risk Assessment to Cyclones

TL;DR: In this paper, a risk assessment has been carried out in the northern coast of Tamil Nadu, India, for the stretch from Kattivakkam to Kovalam.
