Journal ArticleDOI

Oxidative Amidation of Aldehydes and Alcohols with Primary Amines Catalyzed by KI-TBHP

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used a catalytic amount of KI in combination with TBHP as the external oxidant to avoid the use of expensive and/or air-sensitive reagents.
Journal ArticleDOI

Highly Efficient One‐Pot Synthesis of 2‐Substituted Quinazolines and 4H‐Benzo[d][1,3]oxazines via Cross Dehydrogenative Coupling using Sodium Hypochlorite

TL;DR: In this paper, a catalyst-free synthesis of 2-substituted quinazolines and 4H-benzo[d][1,3]oxazines using commericially available sodium hypochlorite as oxidant is described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Catalytic oxidative conversion of alcohols, aldehydes and amines into nitriles using KI/I2–TBHP system

TL;DR: In this paper, the catalytic amount of KI or I 2 in combination with TBHP as an external oxidant was used to convert alcohols, aldehydes and amines to give corresponding nitriles in excellent yields.
Journal ArticleDOI

Selective Oxidation of Aromatic Amines to Nitro Derivatives using Potassium Iodide‐tert‐Butyl Hydroperoxide Catalytic System

TL;DR: In this article, the direct oxidation of primary amines to the corresponding nitro compounds selectively in 47-98% yields was achieved by using potassium iodide as catalyst and tert-butyl hydroperoxide as the external oxidant.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mild and efficient oxy-iodination of alkynes and phenols with potassium iodide and tert-butyl hydroperoxide

TL;DR: In this article, an efficient synthesis of 1-iodoalkynes and iodophenols was easily achieved by employing simple KI and TBHP, which does not involve the use of a metal and base combination.
