Journal ArticleDOI
Contribution of B-1 Cells to Intestinal IgA Production in the Mouse
Frans G. M. Kroese,John J. Cebra,Maarten J. F. van der Cammen,Aaron B. Kantor,Nicolaas A. Bos +4 more
TL;DR: The data presented here show that, in principle, B-1 cells located in the peritoneal cavity may be an important source of precursors for intestinal IgA plasma cells in the mouse.
Book ChapterDOI
Analysis of IgA-producing hybridomas derived from peritoneal B1 cells.
Nicolaas A. Bos,Judy C. A. M. Bun,Henk Bijma,Ethel R. Cebra,John J. Cebra,Gerrit Jan Deenen,Maarten J. F. van der Cammen,Frans G. M. Kroese +7 more
TL;DR: In mice that are kept under germfree conditions a very drastic reduction in the total number of IgA producing cells is observed, suggesting an inductive role of the normal microflora for the IgA production.
