Bridged DOPO derivatives as flame retardants for PA6

TL;DR: In this article, two novel flame retardants based on bridged 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10oxide (DOPO) were developed and evaluated as flame retardant (FR) additives in polyamide 6 (PA6) engineering plastics.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Meltable Triazine-DOPO Additive on Rheological, Mechanical, and Flammability Properties of PA6

TL;DR: In this article, a new meltable, halogen-free, nitrogen-phosphorus-based flame retardant (FR), 6-(2-(4,6-diamino-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)ethyl) dibenzo[c,e][1,2]oxaphosphinine 6-oxide (DTE-DOPO) was synthesized and incorporated in polyamide 6 (PA6).
Journal ArticleDOI

Epoxy Resin Composite Based on Functional Hybrid Fillers.

TL;DR: The basic mechanical properties of the hybrid composites were found to improve, and, in particular, there was an increase in tensile strength by 44%, and in Charpy impact strength by 93%.
Journal ArticleDOI

Epoxy composites of reduced flammability

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of the so-called environment friendly hybrid flammability reducing fillers, i.e., the halogen/antimony-free ones containing phosphorous, nitrogen and silicon on the utility properties of carbon reinforced epoxy laminates was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new polyurethane binder providing high green strength of dry-pressed alumina

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of polyurethane binder on green strength of dry-pressed alumina bodies was studied and it was shown that polyurethsane binders had a gradual burnout with a low char residue in both types of atmosphere.
