Review of the rice production cycle: by-products and the main applications focusing on rice husk combustion and ash recycling.
Carlos Alberto Mendes Moraes,Iara Janaína Fernandes,Daiane Calheiro,Amanda Gonçalves Kieling,Feliciane Andrade Brehm,Magali Rejane Rigon,Jorge Augusto Berwanger Filho,Ivo André Homrich Schneider,Eduardo Osório +8 more
TL;DR: The findings point to the existence of an environmentally suitable use for all wastes from the rice production cycle, which shows potential to be used as a by-product in many different applications, but not yet consolidated.
Book ChapterDOI
Suggestion of Life Cycle Impact Assessment Methodology: Selection Criteria for Environmental Impact Categories
Magali Rejane Rigon,Rafael Batista Zortea,Carlos Alberto Mendes Moraes,Regina Célia Espinosa Modolo +3 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the main life cycle impact assessment (LCIA) methods used and the most relevant categories of environmental impact are classified according to the methodology used, and the main environmental impact category was global warming potential followed by acidification.
Journal ArticleDOI
Co2 emission assessment for rice husk ash in concrete on environmental approach
Magali Rejane Rigon,Regina Célia Espinosa Modolo,Rafael Batista Zortea,Mauricio Mancio,Carlos Alberto Mendes Moraes +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the environmental performance of Rice husk ash (RHA) as a replacement material for cement during the life-cycle of concrete and found that the most significant environmental impact caused by RHA production processes was global warming potential.
