Journal ArticleDOI

History of trace metal pollution in sabine-neches estuary, beaumont, Texas.

TL;DR: Down-core variations of aluminum-normalized enrichment factors for these metals demonstrate that the sediments of this estuary have remained relatively 'pristine' with respect to trace metal contamination since 1860.
Journal ArticleDOI

Geochronology of sediments in the Sabine-Neches estuary, Texas, U.S.A.

TL;DR: In this article, the accumulation rate of sediments in the Sabine-Neches estuary, near Beaumont, Texas, was studied in four sediment cores using radioisotopes 210Pb and 239,240Pu.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cycling of7Be and210Pb in a High DOC, Shallow, Turbid Estuary of South-east Texas

TL;DR: The Sabine-Neches estuary is a shallow, turbid estuary in south-east Texas with high concentrations of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) and suspended particle concentrations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Distribution of rare earth elements in sediment cores of Sabine-Neches Estuary

TL;DR: In this paper, the vertical profiles of several rare earth elements (REEs) were precisely measured in four dated sediment cores from the Sabine-Neches Estuary, and the measured concentrations of LREEs and Fe normalized enrichment factors indicate that sediments are not enriched with light rare earth element derived from effluents of oil refineries.
