Mikulas Mlcek,João Batista Borges,M Otahal,G.C. Alcala,Dominik Hladík,Eduard Kuriscak,Leos Tejkl,Marcelo B. P. Amato,Otomar Kittnar +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors correct the article DOI: 10.3389/fphys.2023.1113568 and 10.3789/Fphys.1923.
Journal ArticleDOI
Erratum: Positive end-expiratory pressure, pleural pressure, and regional compliance during pronation: An experimental study (Am J Respir Crit Care Med (2021) 203:10 (1266-1274) DOI: 10.1164/rccm.202007-2957OC)

Mikulas Mlcek,João Batista Borges,M Otahal,G.C. Alcala,Dominik Hladík,Eduard Kuriscak,Leos Tejkl,Marcelo B. P. Amato,Otomar Kittnar +8 more
TL;DR: In this article , a real-time individualization of positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) whenever in lateral positioning was proposed to attenuate collapse in the dependent lung regions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of general anesthesia and controlled mechanical ventilation on pulmonary ventilation distribution assessed by electrical impedance tomography in healthy children
Milena Siciliano Nascimento,Celso Moura Rebello,Eduardo L. V. Costa,L Correa,G.C. Alcala,Felipe de Souza Rossi,Caio C. A. Morais,Eliana Laurenti,Mauro C Camara,Marcelo Iasi,Maria Lúcia de Pinho Apezzato,Cristiane do Prado,Marcelo B. P. Amato +12 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors evaluated the pattern of distribution of pulmonary ventilation through EIT before and after anesthesia induction in pediatric patients without lung disease undergoing nonthoracic surgery.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phrenic Nerve Block and Respiratory Effort in Pigs and Critically Ill Patients with Acute Lung Injury
Sérgio Pereira,Bruno E Sinedino,Eduardo L. V. Costa,Caio C. A. Morais,Michael C. Sklar,Cristhiano Adkson Sales Lima,Maria Aparecida Miyuki Nakamura,Otavio T. Ranzani,Ewan C. Goligher,Mauro R. Tucci,Yeh Li Ho,Leandro Utino Taniguchi,Joaquim Edson Vieira,Laurent Brochard,Marcelo B. P. Amato +14 more
TL;DR: Phrenic nerve block is feasible, lasts around 12 h, and reduces VT and driving pressure without changing respiratory rate in patients under assisted ventilation, and in nine patients with excessive inspiratory effort with acute respiratory distress syndrome on mechanical ventilation evaluating transdiaphragmatic pressures and electrical activity.
