Journal ArticleDOI
Journal ArticleDOI
Apparent split between magnetic and structural phase transitions in epitaxial MnAs films
Fernando Iikawa,Marcelo Knobel,Paulo V. Santos,C. Adriano,O. D. D. Couto,M.J.S.P. Brasil,Carlos Giles,R. Magalhães-Paniago,Lutz Däweritz +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the magnetic field dependence of the magnetic and structural phase transition of an epitaxial MnAs layer grown on GaAs was investigated by using SQUID magnetometry and X-ray diffraction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Magnetic and Magnetotransport Properties of Nanostructured Magnetic Materials

Positive exchange bias in Fe on antiferromagnetic semiconductor EuTe
Waldemar A. A. Macedo,Wallace C. Nunes,M.D. Martins,P.H. Rapll,R. B. Oliveira,P. Motisuke,Marcelo Knobel +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the exchange bias effect in Fe/EuTe(111) bilayers prepared by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) is investigated by SQUID for cooling fields from 2 to 70 kOe, only positive shifts were found of the magnetic hysteresis loops.
Book ChapterDOI
Towards the Other Side of Complexity: Values and Decisions in a Time of Uncertainty
TL;DR: In an incredibly short time after the discovery of the virus, public health measures were implemented, and the development of defences in the form of public policies, medical therapies, and vaccines began as discussed by the authors.
