Nathalie A. Kulin,Anne Pastuszak,Suzanne R. Sage,Betsy Schick-Boschetto,Glenda Spivey,Marcia L. Feldkamp,Kelly E. Ormond,Doreen Matsui,Amy K. Stein-Schechman,Lola Cook,Joanne Brochu,Michael J. Rieder,Gideon Koren +12 more
TL;DR: The new SSRIs, fluvoxamine, paroxetine, and sertraline, do not appear to increase the teratogenic risk when used in their recommended doses.
Journal ArticleDOI
Utah Growth Study: growth standards and the prevalence of growth hormone deficiency.
TL;DR: The growth curves generated in the 1960s and 1970s are valid for children of the 1990s and most children growing < 5 cm/yr (a commonly used threshold rate) will not have an endocrine disorder.
Journal ArticleDOI
Outcome after maternal varicella infection in the first 20 weeks of pregnancy.
Pastuszak A,Maurice Levy,B Schick,Carol Zuber,Marcia L. Feldkamp,J Gladstone,F Bar-Levy,E Jackson,A Donnenfeld,W Meschino +9 more
TL;DR: The absolute risk of embryopathy after maternal varicella infection in the first 20 weeks of pregnancy is about 2 percent, which is similar to that of other prospective studies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pregnancy Outcome Following First-Trimester Exposure to Fluoxetine (Prozac)
Ann Pastuszak,Betsy Schick-Boschetto,Carol Zuber,Marcia L. Feldkamp,Maria Pinelli,Sally Sihn,Alan E. Donnenfeld,Michael McCormack,Marsha Leen-Mitchell,Cindy Woodland,Allan Gardner,Mary Horn,Gideon Koren +12 more
TL;DR: This study suggests that the use of fluoxetine during embryogenesis is not associated with an increased risk of major malformations, and suggests that long-term studies will be warranted to rule out potential developmental teratology of fluxetine, which affects a central nervous system neurotransmitter.
Journal ArticleDOI
