Journal ArticleDOI

Voltage clamping with a single microelectrode.

TL;DR: A technique is described which allows neurons to be voltage clamped with a single microelectrode, and the advantages of this circuit with respect to conventional bridge techniques are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hyposmotic fluid formation in Hydra.

TL;DR: It is proposed that enteron fluid formation occurs in two steps: segregation of an isosmotic fluid in large intercellular vacuoles with subsequent reabsorption of solute in the inter cellular channels to form the hyposmotic fluids of the enteron.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dilantin-calcium interaction and active Na transport in frog skin.

TL;DR: It appears that the increase in active transport elicited by DPH is due to a specific interaction with Ca at the transport site.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of edrophonium on end-plate currents in frog skeletal muscle.

TL;DR: It is suggested that the low concentration of edrophonium inhibit the postjunctional acetylcholinesterase thereby causing an increase in transmitter concentration in the end-plate region, but that the highest concentration has a direct desensitizing action as well as the anticholinestersterase action on theend-plate membrane.
