Journal ArticleDOI
Expressions for the interpretation of circular intensity differential scattering of chiral aggregates.
TL;DR: The derivation of compact expressions of the circular intensity differential scattering (CIDS) of chiral molecules is presented in the first Born approximation of the fields and the expressions obtained confirm the main features of the experimental CIDS patterns.
Journal ArticleDOI
Observation of DNA molecules undergoing capillary electrophoresis.
Lu Song,Marcos F. Maestre +1 more
TL;DR: A simple device to perform CE horizontally under microscopic observation is designed and images of single DNA molecules inside the capillary are obtained using an epi-fluorescence microscope to observe the motions and configurations of large DNA molecules undergoing capillary electrophoresis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Differential polarization microscopy (CD and linear dichroism) of polytene chromosomes and nucleoli from the dipteran Sarcophaga footpad.
TL;DR: Microscopy measurements of single live polytene nuclei of the fleshfly Sarcophaga bullata suggest the existence of two groups of data, with differences observed in both linear and circular dichroism spectra indicating a difference in both the linear and chiral arrangements of the chromatin.
