Journal ArticleDOI
Treatment of spontaneous preterm labour with retosiban: a phase 2 proof-of-concept study
Steven Thornton,Hugh Miller,Guillermo J. Valenzuela,Jerry Snidow,Brendt Stier,Michael J. Fossler,Timothy H. Montague,Marcy Powell,Kathleen J. Beach +8 more
TL;DR: Intravenous administration of retosiban in women with spontaneous preterm labour was associated with a greater than 1 week increase in time to delivery compared with placebo, a significant reduction in preterm deliveries, a non-significant increase in uterine quiescence and a favourable safety profile.
Journal ArticleDOI
A randomised, placebo-controlled study of RIPK1 inhibitor GSK2982772 in patients with active ulcerative colitis
Kathy Weisel,Nicola Scott,Scott B. Berger,Susanne Wang,Kurt Brown,Marcy Powell,Matthijs Broer,Clarissa J. Watts,Debra J. Tompson,Susan W Burriss,Simon Hawkins,Kathy Abbott-Banner,Paul P. Tak +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the safety, pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD) and preliminary efficacy of the RIPK1 inhibitor GSK2982772 in patients with active ulcerative colitis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Safety, Tolerability and Pharmacokinetics of Single Doses of Oxytocin Administered via an Inhaled Route in Healthy Females: Randomized, Single-blind, Phase 1 Study.
Disala Fernando,Sarah Siederer,Sunita Singh,Ian Schneider,Ashutosh Gupta,Marcy Powell,Duncan Richards,Michelle P. McIntosh,Peter Lambert,Susan Fowles +9 more
TL;DR: The data suggest that similar oxytocin systemic exposure can be achieved with IM and IH administration routes, and no safety concerns were identified with either route, and the inhalation route may offer the opportunity to increase access to oxytoc in for women giving birth in resource-poor settings.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Retrospective Database Analysis of Neonatal Morbidities to Evaluate a Composite Endpoint for Use in Preterm Labor Clinical Trials.
Jeanne M. Pimenta,Myla Ebeling,Timothy H. Montague,Kathleen J. Beach,Jill Abell,Michael O'Shea,Marcy Powell,Thomas C. Hulsey,Thomas C. Hulsey +8 more
TL;DR: Descriptive epidemiological assessment and clinical input were used to develop a CE to measure neonatal benefit, comprising clinically meaningful outcomes and allowed trials investigating tocolytics to be sized appropriately.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of the Pharmacokinetics of RIPK1 Inhibitor GSK2982772 in Healthy Western and Japanese Subjects
Debra J. Tompson,Carwyn Davies,Nicola Scott,Edward P. Cannons,Michalis Kostapanos,Annette S. Gross,Marcy Powell,Hiroko Ino,Ryutaro Shimamura,Hirofumi Ogura,Takashi Nagakubo,Harue Igarashi,Atsushi Nakano +12 more
TL;DR: The pharmacokinetics and tolerability of GSK2982772 were similar between Western and Japanese subjects, justifying inclusion of Japanese subjects in future global clinical studies to assess the therapeutic potential of RIPK1 inhibition for the treatment of IMIDs.
