Journal ArticleDOI

The establishment of cloned cell lines from Yoshida sarcomas having differential sensitivities to methylene dimethane sulphonate in vivo and their cross-sensitivity to x-rays, UV and other alkylating agents.

TL;DR: Cloned cell lines established from Yoshida ascites tumour lines known to be sensitive and resistant to methylene dimethanesulphonate in vivo show similar sensitivities to methyl methanesulponate (MMS) and X-rays.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characteristics of repair synthesis in P388 cells treated with methyl methanesulphonate

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors show that DNA synthesis is insensitive to HU which continues for a considerable time after exposure to the drug, and that at a 5% survival level all of the DNA repaired after MMS treatment replicates or is excised within 24 hours.
Journal ArticleDOI

The establishment of MDMS-resistant cloned cell lines from in vitro cultured, MDMS-sensitive, Yoshida sarcoma cells

TL;DR: The biphasic nature of the dose-response curves even after successive cloning indicates some instability of factors determining resistance, suggesting that sensitivity to bifunctional alkylating agents is controlled by at least two mutations.
