Insulin Receptor Loss Impairs Mammary Tumorigenesis in Mice
Lauren Podmore,Yekaterina Poloz,C Iorio,Samar Mouaaz,Kevin C J Nixon,Petr Smirnov,Sonya H Lam,Bowen Zhang,Pirashaanthy Tharmapalan,Foram Vyas,Marguerite Ennis,Ryan J.O. Dowling,Vuk Stambolic +12 more
TL;DR: The similarity of phenotypes elicited by the deletion of one or both copies of the INSR raises the possibility that there is a dose-dependent threshold for the contribution of INSR to mammary tumorigenesis, including in mice fed to mimic conditions of human obesity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Body composition and endometrial cancer outcomes.
Diana Paola Arteaga,Corina Dekraker,Marguerite Ennis,Emily A. Goebel,Stephen Welch,Isabel Pimentel,Joseph E. Ippolito,Ana Elisa Lohmann +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined how outcomes in women with early stage endometrial cancer vary with body composition measured via computed tomography (CT) and found that higher body mass index (BMI) was associated with higher mortality from EC and lower overall survival.
Journal ArticleDOI
Concordance between liquid and tissue biopsy in participants with newly diagnosed recurrent breast cancer.
Ana Elisa Lohmann,Marguerite Ennis,Pamela J. Goodwin,Zachary Veitch,Christine B. Brezden,Katarzyna J. Jerzak,Samuel Martel,Julie Lemieux,J.L.M. Guimarães,David W. Cescon,M. Thirlwell,Megan M. Slade,Giuseppe Di Caro,Rick Wenstrup,Josee-Lyne Ethier,Sara V. Soldera +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors assess the concordance between tissue and liquid biopsy testing in subjects presenting with suspicion of distant recurrence from breast cancer (BC) recurrence.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Futility of Futility Analyses in Adjuvant Trials in Hormone Receptor–Positive Breast Cancer
Ana Elisa Lohmann,Marguerite Ennis,Wendy R. Parulekar,Bingshu E. Chen,George Tomlinson,Pamela J. Goodwin +5 more
TL;DR: Approaches to futility analysis in adjuvant clinical trials in hormone receptor–positive breast cancer, the role of the Data Safety Monitoring Committee in such analyses, considerations of the potential harms vs benefits of treatment, and the risks of continuing vs early termination of a trial are discussed.
