Journal ArticleDOI

Partial biochemical and immunochemical characterization of avian eggshell extracellular matrices.

TL;DR: Results indicate that molecules recognized by antibodies to glycosaminoglycans are present in the eggshell, and their localized distribution relative to the calcified matrix suggests that they may be involved in the regulation of mineral deposition.
Journal ArticleDOI

The fabrication and collagenous substructure of the eggshell membrane in the isthmus of the hen oviduct.

TL;DR: To assess the temporal and spatial aspects of the fabrication of type X collagen within the eggshell extracellular matrix, the immunohistochemical localization oftype X collagen was studied in three regions of the hen oviduct (magnum, isthmus and uterus), in the membranes of uncalcified eggshells obtained from the ovidUCT prior to mineral deposition and in eggshell membrane and calcified egg shell matrix.
Journal ArticleDOI

Research Note: Absence from Avian Eggshell Membranes of Epitopes Recognized by Anti-Keratin Antibodies

TL;DR: By immunohistochemical analysis with anti-keratin monoclonal antibodies AE1 and AE3, it was demonstrated that chicken eggshell membranes do not contain the keratin epitopes that are detected in chicken and human skin under identical conditions, so the presence of keratin in egg shell membranes seems to be unlikely.

¿De tal palo tal astilla?: conexiones intergeneracionales en la ocupación y la elección de empleo en el sector público

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigate how antecedentes familiares facilitan the acceso of los hijos a las categorias ocupacionales mas altas and/or a la Administracion Publica.
