Journal ArticleDOI
Adsorption of chromium(VI) from an aqueous solution on a surfactant-modified zeolite
Roberto Leyva-Ramos,Araceli Jacobo-Azuara,Paola E. Diaz-Flores,R.M. Guerrero-Coronado,Jovita Mendoza-Barron,María Selene Berber-Mendoza +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the adsorption equilibrium data of Cr(VI) from an aqueous solution on a surfactant-modified zeolite (SMZ) was determined in a batch adsorber.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adsorption capacity of bone char for removing fluoride from water solution. Role of hydroxyapatite content, adsorption mechanism and competing anions
Nahum Andrés Medellín-Castillo,Roberto Leyva-Ramos,Erika Padilla-Ortega,R. Ocampo Perez,J.V. Flores-Cano,María Selene Berber-Mendoza +5 more
TL;DR: The adsorption of fluoride from water on bone char (BC) was investigated in this article, and the fluoride adsoreption capacity of BC was compared to that of hydroxyapatite (HAP).
Journal ArticleDOI
Removal of ammonium from aqueous solution by ion exchange on natural and modified chabazite.
Roberto Leyva-Ramos,J.E. Monsivais-Rocha,Antonio Aragón-Piña,María Selene Berber-Mendoza,R.M. Guerrero-Coronado,Pedro A. Alonso-Dávila,Jovita Mendoza-Barron +6 more
TL;DR: The XRD analysis of the zeolite sample revealed that the main zeolitic phase was chabazite and the ammonium exchange capacity was 1.43 times higher than that of clinoptilolite.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of isotherms for the ion exchange of Pb(II) from aqueous solution onto homoionic clinoptilolite.
María Selene Berber-Mendoza,Roberto Leyva-Ramos,Roberto Leyva-Ramos,Pedro A. Alonso-Dávila,Laura Fuentes-Rubio,R.M. Guerrero-Coronado +5 more
TL;DR: A comparison between the two isotherms showed that they fitted the experimental data reasonably well, but the Langmuir isotherm is much simpler and easier to use.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of pH and temperature on the ion‐exchange isotherm of Cd(II) and Pb(II) on clinoptilolite
María Selene Berber-Mendoza,Roberto Leyva-Ramos,Roberto Leyva-Ramos,Pedro A. Alonso-Dávila,Jovita Mendoza-Barron,Paola E. Diaz-Flores +5 more
TL;DR: The capacity of the natural zeolite to exchange Cd(II and Pb(II) increased, augmenting the solution pH as discussed by the authors, attributed to the interactions between the ions in solution and the surface charge of the Zeolite.
