Thermal racemisation of hepta-, octa-, and nonahelicene : Kinetic results, reaction path and experimental proofs that the racemisation of hexa- and heptahelicene does not involve an intramolecular double diels-alder reaction
TL;DR: In this paper, the thermal racemisation in solution of hepta-, octa-and nonahelicene has been studied and a "conformational pathway" is suggested for these racemisations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Resolution and optical properties ([α]max, ord and cd) of hepta-, octa- and nonahelicene
TL;DR: In this article, the UV, ORD and CD curves of the pure enantiomers are shown in Figs 1, 2, and 3, and the UV and ORD curves for the pure Enantiomers were obtained by repeated crystallisation under equilibnim conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermal racemisation of [6], [7], [8] and [9] helicene.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rapid Syntheses of Hexa and Heptahelicene
TL;DR: A two-step synthesis of hexahelicene (scheme 1, 53% over-all yield), a three-and-a-half-stage synthesis of heptahelicenes (schemas 2, 3, and 4, 14% over all yield), and a two-and three-phase synthesis of Hexaheliene (Scheme 2, 33% overall yield) are described in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthèse Photochimique D'Hydrocarbures Polycycliques Aromatiques et Étude en RMN-1H Des Protons de Baie. Effets de Solvant Specifiques et Effets Nucleaires Overhauser
TL;DR: In this paper, the NMR-1H study of bay protons was mainly focused on specific solvent effects and nuclear Overhauser effects, and the NOMA was used to evaluate the effect of the overhauser effect on polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
