Selection of sustainable alternative energy source for shipping: multi-criteria decision making under incomplete information
Jingzheng Ren,Marie Lützen +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed a multi-criteria decision-making method that combines Dempster-Shafer theory and a trapezoidal fuzzy analytic hierarchy process for alternative energy source selection under incomplete information conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making method for technology selection for emissions reduction from shipping under uncertainties
Jingzheng Ren Ren,Marie Lützen +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a methodology for the application of multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) on the technology selection for emissions reduction from shipping under uncertainties and incomplete information is described.
Rapid Prediction of Damage to Struck and Striking Vessels in a Collision Event
TL;DR: In this paper, a model for the internal mechanics of the struck ship side is based on a set of so-called superelements, each super-element represents an assembly of structural components and contains solutions for the structural behaviour of this assembly under deep collapse.
Journal ArticleDOI
A simplified grounding damage prediction method and its application in modern damage stability requirements
TL;DR: In this article, the grounding damage statistics for all ships can be characterized by a single parameter; the Grounding Damage Index, GDI, which includes the ship kinetic energy and its structural resistance to grounding damage, and the probability of exceeding a box-shaped damage is a simple function of the GDI and the size of the box.
