Journal ArticleDOI
FDG uptake is a surrogate marker for defining the optimal biological dose of the mTOR inhibitor everolimus in vivo.
Daniel Cejka,Claudia Kuntner,Matthias Preusser,Monika Fritzer-Szekeres,B J Fueger,Sabine Strommer,Johannes Werzowa,Thorsten Fuereder,Thomas Wanek,Maria Zsebedics,Markus Mueller,Oliver Langer,Volker Wacheck +12 more
TL;DR: FDG uptake might serve as a surrogate marker for dose finding studies for mTOR inhibitors in (pre-clinical trials) and not reach statistical significance.
Journal ArticleDOI
Arterial stiffness in acute COVID-19 and potential associations with clinical outcome.
Sebastian Schnaubelt,Julia Oppenauer,Daniel Tihanyi,Markus Mueller,Eduardo Maldonado‐Gonzalez,Sara Zejnilovic,Helmuth Haslacher,Thomas Perkmann,Robert Strassl,Sonja Anders,Thomas Stefenelli,Sonja Zehetmayer,Renate Koppensteiner,Hans Domanovits,Oliver Schlager +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a case-control study compared brachial-ankle pulse wave (baPWV) and carotid-femoral pulse wave velocities of acutely ill patients with and without COVID-19.
Journal ArticleDOI
Relation of Nailfold Capillaries and Autoantibodies to Mortality in Patients With Raynaud Phenomenon.
Markus Mueller,Michael E. Gschwandtner,Jutta Gamper,Georgiana-Aura Giurgea,Silvia Charwat-Resl,Hans P. Kiener,Josef S Smolen,Thomas Perkmann,Renate Koppensteiner,Oliver Schlager +9 more
TL;DR: Abnormal nailfold capillaries and autoantibodies are associated with an increase in all-cause mortality in female patients, but not in male patients with Raynaud phenomenon.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impact of age and gender on microvascular function.
Oliver Schlager,Aura Giurgea,Alexandra Hammer,Silvia Charwat-Resl,Christian Margeta,Markus Mueller,Teresa Ehringer,Sonja Zehetmayer,Andrea Willfort-Ehringer,Renate Koppensteiner,Michael E. Gschwandtner +10 more
TL;DR: The aim of this study was to assess the impact of age and gender on microcirculatory function during adolescence and to implement PORH into a larger scale of clinical studies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Insulin glargine in combination with oral antidiabetic drugs as a cost-equivalent alternative to conventional insulin therapy in type 2 diabetes mellitus.
TL;DR: Results were achieved with significantly lower insulin doses and fewer blood glucose test strips in the insulin glargine group, which therefore led to cost equivalence when compared with conventional insulin therapy.
