Measurements of Activity Coefficients at Infinite Dilution for Organic Solutes and Water in the Ionic Liquid 1-Butyl-1-methylpiperidinium Thiocyanate

TL;DR: In this paper, the activity coefficients at infinite dilution (γ13∞) for 33 solutes: alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, cycloalkanes, aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, thiophene, ethers, ketones, and water in the ionic liquid, 1-butyl-1-methylpiperidinium thiocyanate ([BMPIP][SCN]), were determined by gas−liquid chromatography over the temperature range (318.15 to 358.15) K.
Journal ArticleDOI

Activity Coefficients at Infinite Dilution Measurements for Organic Solutes and Water in the Ionic Liquid 1-Hexyl-3-methylimidazolium Thiocyanate

TL;DR: In this article, the activity coefficients at infinite dilution (γ ∞ 13 ) for 34 solutes: alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, cycloalkanes, aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, thiophene, ethers, acetone, and water in the ionic liquid 1hexyl-3-methylimidazolium thiocyanate ([hmim][SCN]) were determined by gas-liquid chromatography over temperature range from (298.15 to 368.15) K.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phase Equilibria of (1-Hexyl-3-methylimidazolium Thiocyanate + Water, Alcohol, or Hydrocarbon) Binary Systems

TL;DR: In this paper, the mutual solubilities of 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium thiocyanate were characterized by NMR spectra, water content, and a glass transition temperature determined by the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).
Journal ArticleDOI

The study of activity coefficients at infinite dilution for organic solutes and water in 1-butyl-4-methylpyridinium dicyanamide, [B4MPy][DCA] using GLC

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the possibility of using ionic liquid as a solvent for the separation processes, especially for extraction of azeotropic mixtures i.e. aliphatic from aromatic hydrocarbons.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of temperature and composition on the density, viscosity surface tension and excess quantities of binary mixtures of 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tricyanomethanide with thiophene

TL;DR: In this paper, a qualitative analysis on these quantities in terms of molecular interactions is reported. And the surface tension of pure ionic liquid and binary mixtures of [EMIM][TCM] and thiophene were measured at atmospheric pressure at five temperatures (298.15, 308.15 and 348.15 ) and ambient pressure were reported.
