Oral Fat Tolerance Test for Sitosterolemia and Familial Hypercholesterolemia: A Study Protocol

TL;DR: This is the first study to evaluate whether sitosterolemia patients have a higher post-prandial RLP cholesterol level compared to heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemic patients (FH), and the result may become an additional evidence to restrict dietary cholesterols for sitosterolesmia.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sudden death of a young male with previously undiagnosed autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD)

TL;DR: A case is experienced in which ADPKD first became evident from the results of forensic autopsy, on the basis of which all potentially affected family members were offered genetic and other medical examinations and forensic medicine was able to determine the cause of death.
Journal ArticleDOI

Löffler's endocarditis associated with unusual ECG change mimicking posterior myocardial infarction

TL;DR: After the administration of prednisolone, the patient's general condition, eosinophilia, ECG abnormalities, and histological findings were improved dramatically, and the endomyocardial biopsy in the acute phase was helpful for diagnosis and therapeutic decision-making.
Journal ArticleDOI

Organic single-crystal transistors with secondary gates on source and drain electrodes

TL;DR: In this paper, split-gate electrodes were used to improve the transconductance of tetracyano-quinodimethane (TQN) single-crystal transistors, and the intrinsic carrier transport in the semiconductor channels was extracted for the p-type and n-type TQN transistors.
Journal ArticleDOI

A case of sarcoidosis developing as sarcoid myopathy concomitant with systemic sclerosis and review of the literature.

TL;DR: Sarcoid myopathy is a rare condition, but it should be considered when myogenic enzymes are elevated in the patient with systemic sclerosis, and muscle biopsy may be essential to make an accurate diagnosis in such condition.
