Journal ArticleDOI

Protective effects of mineralocorticoid receptor blockade against neuropathy in experimental diabetic rats

TL;DR: The aim of this study was to determine whether MRs are present in the peripheral nerves and to investigate the effectiveness of MR blockade on DPN in streptozotocin‐induced diabetic rats.
Journal ArticleDOI

Echocardiographic determination of left atrial function and its application for assessment of mitral flow velocity pattern

TL;DR: Two-dimensional echocardiographic measurement of LA volume can be valuable in assessing the LA function, providing an alternative method for differentiating pseudo normal from true normal MFV pattern in clinical settings, although several technological shortcomings should be resolved.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ablation of the Ccr2 gene exacerbates polyarthritis in interleukin-1 receptor antagonist-deficient mice

TL;DR: It is indicated that CCR2-mediated signals can modulate arthritis in Il1rn-deficient mice by negatively regulating neutrophil infiltration and neutralizing antibodies to CXCR2, the receptor for keratinocyte chemoattractant and MIP-2, dramatically attenuated arthritis inIl1rn and Ccr2-double-deficiency mice.
Journal ArticleDOI

Combined Abnormalities of Semilunar Valves Quadricuspid Pulmonary and Bicuspid Aortic Valves

TL;DR: A 42-year-old man was referred to the authors' hospital for evaluation of systolic and diastolic murmurs at the left sternal border and transthoracic 2D echocardiography revealed a quadricuspid pulmonary valve and a bicuspid aortic valve suggesting mild pulmonary stenosis.
