Selective photocatalytic oxidation of methane into methanol on V-MCM-41 mesoporous molecular sieves

TL;DR: The partial photocatalytic oxidation of methane with NO led to the selective methanol formation over the V-MCM-41 catalysts under UV irradiation at 295 K as mentioned in this paper.

Local Structures, Excited States, and Photocatalytic Reactivities of “Single-Site” Ti-Oxide Photocatalysts Constructed Within Zeolites or Mesoporous Materials

TL;DR: In this article, the photo-excited triplet states of the single-site Ti-oxide species play a vital role in these photocatalytic reactions, and it has been demonstrated that ion-implantation is an effective technique in modifying the electronic properties of singlesite Tioxide photocatalyst, enabling them to absorb and operate as highly efficient photocATalysts under visible light irradiation (λ > 420 nm).
