The presence of plasmids in Aeromonas hydrophila and its relationship with antimicrobial and heavy metal-resistance profiles
Mariana Ramos Freitas,Naiana Braga Freire,Luciana Jatobá e Silva Peixoto,Samira Teixeira Leal de Oliveira,R.C. Souza,João José de Simoni Gouveia,Mateus Matiuzzi da Costa,Gisele Veneroni Gouveia +7 more
TL;DR: No correlation was noted between the resistance profile and the plasmid presence for these isolates, indicating that the genes responsible for resistance to microbial agents and heavy metals are present in the cromossomic DNA, which in turn suggested the possibility of gene transfer between the isolated bacteria.
Journal ArticleDOI
Aeromonas hydrophila in tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) after the intake of aflatoxins
Samira Teixeira Leal de Oliveira,Gisele Veneroni-Gouveia,Janio Morais Santurio,Mateus Matiuzzi da Costa +3 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of the intake of aflatoxin on the development of tilapia and the impact of inoculation with Aeromonas hydrophila on performance parameters were evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI
In vitro algicidal effect of polypyrrole on Prototheca species isolates from bovine mastitisAlgicidal activity of polypyrrole on Prototheca spp.
Valessa Lunkes Ely,Mateus Matiuzzi da Costa,Helinando P. de Oliveira,Fernando Antonio Gomes da Silva Júnior,Daniela Isabel Brayer Pereira,Mauro P. Soares,Agueda Castagna de Vargas,Luís Antônio Sangioni,Juliana Felipetto Cargnelutti,Márcio Garcia Ribeiro,Sônia de Avila Botton +10 more
TL;DR: The algicidal activity of Ppy suggests the therapeutic potential of this molecule in the prevention and treatment of Prototheca spp.
Alimento vivo e inerte para alevinos de pacamã Live and artificial diets for pacamã fingerlings
Márcia Gomes de Souza,Mateus Matiuzzi da Costa,Ana Gabriela,Lins Seabra,Fábio Meurer,Rodovia Br +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the effect of different ration processings and feeding with live food on performance and survival of pacama (Lophiosilurus alexandri) fingerlings.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antimicrobial activity of propolis extract fractions against Staphylococcus spp. isolated from goat mastitis
Heidy Carvalho dos Santos,Dielson Silva Vieira,S. M. Yamamoto,Mateus Matiuzzi da Costa,Maria C.A. Sá,Eva Monica Sarmento da Silva,Tania M. S. Silva +6 more
TL;DR: Propolis in its different diluents was able to affect the formation of biofilm and showed a pronounced marked antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus spp.
