Is It Really Robust
TL;DR: In this article, Monte Carlo methods are used to demonstrate the robustness of the analysis of variance (ANOVA) concerning violation of the normality assumption. But, the authors do not consider the effect sizes of the samples.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Situational Eight DIAMONDS: a taxonomy of major dimensions of situation characteristics.
John F. Rauthmann,David Gallardo-Pujol,Esther Guillaume,Elysia Todd,Christopher S. Nave,Ryne A. Sherman,Matthias Ziegler,Ashley Bell Jones,David C. Funder +8 more
TL;DR: Together, these studies provide extensive and compelling evidence that the DIAMONDS taxonomy is useful for organizing major dimensions of situation characteristics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Masking misfit in confirmatory factor analysis by increasing unique variances: a cautionary note on the usefulness of cutoff values of fit indices.
TL;DR: Using data simulation, the authors illustrate how the value of the chi-square test, the root-mean-square error of approximation, and the standardized root- mean-square residual are decreased when unique variances are increased although model misspecification is present.
Journal ArticleDOI
Short Scales – Five Misunderstandings and Ways to Overcome Them
TL;DR: A special issue of the Journal of Individual Differences (JID) as mentioned in this paper brought together a variety of researchers who have approached the topic of short scales from different angles, and resolved some misunderstandings and open questions regarding the construction, psychometric quality and use of short scale by bringing together methodological, statistical, and constructionoriented perspectives.
Journal ArticleDOI
Openness, fluid intelligence, and crystallized intelligence: Toward an integrative model
TL;DR: In this article, a model integrating the results and providing a theoretical framework and outlook is proposed to analyze the relationship between Openness, fluid intelligence, and crystallized intelligence (Gc).
