Role of Cationic Channel TRPV2 in Promoting Prostate Cancer Migration and Progression to Androgen Resistance
Michaël Monet,V’yacheslav Lehen’kyi,Florian Gackière,Virginie Firlej,Matthieu Vandenberghe,Morad Roudbaraki,Dimitra Gkika,Albin Pourtier,Gabriel Bidaux,Christian Slomianny,Philippe Delcourt,François Rassendren,Jean-Pierre Bergerat,Jocelyn Céraline,Florence Cabon,Sandrine Humez,Natalia Prevarskaya +16 more
TL;DR: It is reported that the nonselective cationic channel transient receptor potential vanilloid 2 (TRPV2) is a distinctive feature of castration-resistant PCa, and its transcript levels were higher in patients with metastatic cancer (stage M1) compared with primary solid tumors (stages T2a and T2b).
Journal ArticleDOI
TRPV6 calcium channel translocates to the plasma membrane via Orai1-mediated mechanism and controls cancer cell survival.
Maylis Raphaël,V’yacheslav Lehen’kyi,Matthieu Vandenberghe,Benjamin Beck,Sergiy Khalimonchyk,Fabien Vanden Abeele,Leonardo Farsetti,Emmanuelle Germain,Alexandre Bokhobza,Adriana Mihalache,Pierre Gosset,Christoph Romanin,Philippe Clézardin,Roman Skryma,Natalia Prevarskaya +14 more
TL;DR: It is shown that TRPV6 mediates calcium entry, which is highly increased in PCa due to the remodeling mechanism involving the translocation of the TRpV6 channel to the plasma membrane via the Orai1/TRPC1-mediated Ca2+/Annexin I/S100A11 pathway, partially contributing to SOCE.
Journal ArticleDOI
Epidermal TRPM8 channel isoform controls the balance between keratinocyte proliferation and differentiation in a cold-dependent manner.
Gabriel Bidaux,Anne-Sophie Borowiec,Dmitri V. Gordienko,Benjamin Beck,George Shapovalov,Loic Lemonnier,Matthieu Flourakis,Matthieu Vandenberghe,Christian Slomianny,Etienne Dewailly,Philippe Delcourt,Emilie Desruelles,Abigael Ritaine,Renata Polakowska,Jean Lesage,Mounia Chami,Roman Skryma,Natalia Prevarskaya +17 more
TL;DR: A new functional epidermal isoform of the transient receptor potential M8 (TRPM8) mild-cold receptor is identified, dubbed epidersmal TRPM8 (eTR PM8), which is localized in the keratinocyte endoplasmic reticulum membrane and controls mitochondrial Ca2+ concentration ([Ca2+]m), which modulates ATP and superoxide synthesis in a cold-dependent manner.
Journal ArticleDOI
ORAI1 calcium channel orchestrates skin homeostasis
Matthieu Vandenberghe,Maylis Raphaël,V’yacheslav Lehen’kyi,Dmitri V. Gordienko,Ryan Hastie,Thierry Oddos,Anjana Rao,Patrick G. Hogan,Roman Skryma,Natalia Prevarskaya +9 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the activation of Orai1-mediated calcium entry leads to enhancing focal adhesion turnover via a PKCβ-Calpain-focal adhesion kinase pathway, providing insight into the functions of the ORAi1 channel in the maintenance of skin homeostasis.
