Dioxomolybdenum(VI) and -tungsten(VI) Complexes with Multidentate Aminobisphenol Ligands as Catalysts for Olefin Epoxidation
Antoine Dupé,Md. Kamal Hossain,Jörg A. Schachner,Ferdinand Belaj,Ari Lehtonen,Ebbe Nordlander,Nadia C. Mösch-Zanetti +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis of tetradentate tripodal amino bisphenolate ligands with either hydroxyethylene (1a) or hydroxyglycolene(1b) substituents is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
An ab initio study of the B35 boron nanocluster for application as atmospheric gas (NO,NO2,N2O,NH3) sensor
Md. Arafat Hossain,Md. Rakib Hossain,Md. Kamal Hossain,Jahirul Islam Khandaker,Farid Ahmed,Tahmina Ferdous,Md. Abul Hossain +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a new class of quasi-planar 2D borophene B 35 has been investigated for gas sensing properties towards different atmospheric gases by DFT methods and the global minimum structures show the gases prefer the hexagonal hollow site available in B 35 clusters.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mixed-metal cluster synthesis: [Re(CO)3(μ-S2NC7H4)]2 as a precursor for tri- and tetranuclear 2-mercaptobenzothiolato capped clusters
Shishir Ghosh,Kamrun N. Khanam,Md. Kamal Hossain,G. M. Golzar Hossain,Daniel T. Haworth,Sergey V. Lindeman,Graeme Hogarth,Shariff E. Kabir +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a trinuclear mixed-metal tri-and tetranuclear complex was characterized by a combination of spectroscopic data and single crystal X-ray diffraction studies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Metal based donepezil analogues designed to inhibit human acetylcholinesterase for Alzheimer's disease.
TL;DR: The design of some copper and other metal based donepezil derivatives, employing density functional theory (DFT) confirmed the ability of metal-directed drugs to bind simultaneously to the active sites of AChE and support them as potential candidates for the future treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adsorption behavior of cisplatin anticancer drug on the pristine, Al- and Ga-doped BN nanosheets: A comparative DFT study
Afiya Akter Piya,Siraj Ud Daula Shamim,Md. Nasir Uddin,K.N. Munny,Ariful Alam,Md. Kamal Hossain,Farid Ahmed +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, first-principles calculations based on DFT have been carried out to investigate the adsorption behavior of cisplatin (CP) drug on the pristine BN, Al-doped BN (AlBN), and Ga-Doped Bn (GaBN) nanosheets in gas and water media.
