Journal ArticleDOI
Genotypic Variation in Root Anatomy, Starch Accumulation, and Protein Induction in Upland Rice (Oryza sativa) Varieties Under Water Stress
TL;DR: These findings suggest that a complex network of regulatory pathways of large xylem vessels with lesser aerenchyma formation and higher starch content in tolerant rice varieties are required for the maintenance of water potential and energy storage under water stress.
Journal ArticleDOI
Assessment of the Genetic Diversity in Bottle Gourd ( Lagenaria siceraria [Molina] Standl.) Genotypes Using SDS-PAGE and RAPD Markers
TL;DR: The diverse bottle gourd genotypes may be further used in the development of improved cultivars with respect to quality and quantity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pathogenic and molecular characterisations of pigeonpea wilt pathogen Fusarium udum
Vishwa Dhar,Subhojit Datta,R. G. Chaudhary,J.P. Upadhyay,M. Saifulla,Shashi Mishra,R.K. Prajapti,Md. Shamim +7 more
TL;DR: Results indicated that there is high genetic variability among a subpopulation of F. udum as identified by RAPD and SSR markers and pathogenicity on differential genotypes.
Book ChapterDOI
Assessing Fungal Biodiversity Using Molecular Markers
TL;DR: Construction of sequence databases of different fungal species that have broaden the representation across fungal population by bioinformatics and taxonomic experts is a critical next step towards the assessments of fungal diversity.
Book ChapterDOI
Molecular Tools and Techniques for Detection and Diagnosis of Plant Pathogens
Pramila Pandey,Narendra Shankar Pandey,Md. Shamim,Md. Shamim,Deepti Srivastava,D. K. Dwivedi,L. P. Awasthi,K.N. Singh +7 more
TL;DR: The development in the recent tools in molecular biology has enhanced and accelerated the detection and diagnostics through the automatic purification of nucleic acids and specific proteins from pathogens.
