Lignocellulosic biomass to bioethanol, a comprehensive review with a focus on pretreatment
Sohrab Haghighi Mood,Amir Hossein Golfeshan,Meisam Tabatabaei,Gholamreza Salehi Jouzani,Gholamhassan Najafi,Mehdi Gholami,Mehdi Ardjmand +6 more
TL;DR: This paper comprehensively reviews the lignocellulosic wastes to bioethanol process with a focus on pretreatment methods, their mechanisms, advantages and disadvantages as well as the combinations of different pretreatment technologies.
Journal ArticleDOI
A novel soluble nano-catalysts in diesel–biodiesel fuel blends to improve diesel engines performance and reduce exhaust emissions
Mehrdad Mirzajanzadeh,Meisam Tabatabaei,Mehdi Ardjmand,Alimorad Rashidi,Barat Ghobadian,Mohammad Barkhi,Mohammad Pazouki +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a hybrid nanocatalyst containing cerium oxide on amide-functionalized multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) was investigated using two types of diesel-biodiesel blends (B5 and B20) at three concentrations (30, 60 and 90ppm).
Journal ArticleDOI
The effect of nanosilica on the physical properties of oil well cement
Mohammadmehdi Choolaei,Mohammadmehdi Choolaei,Alimorad Rashidi,Mehdi Ardjmand,Amir Yadegari,Hamid Soltanian +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of nanoscale SiO 2 in cement mortars was experimentally studied, and the experimental results illustrate that the siO 2 nanostructure was highly beneficial in improving the rheological properties of drilling cement slurry, concurrently producing an increase in the compressive and flexural strengths of the cement mortar.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of an emission-reducing soluble hybrid nanocatalyst in diesel/biodiesel blends on exergetic performance of a DI diesel engine
Mortaza Aghbashlo,Meisam Tabatabaei,Pouya Mohammadi,Mehrdad Mirzajanzadeh,Mehdi Ardjmand,Alimorad Rashidi +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of a novel soluble hybrid nanocatalyst in diesel/biodiesel fuel blends on exergetic performance parameters of a DI diesel engine was explored.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optimization of culture medium and modeling of curdlan production from Paenibacillus polymyxa by RSM and ANN.
Sayyid Mahdi Rafigh,Ali Vaziri Yazdi,Manouchehr Vossoughi,Ali Akbar Safekordi,Mehdi Ardjmand +4 more
TL;DR: Paenibacillus polymyxa ATCC 21830 was used for the production of curdlan gum for first time and the results showed that the ANN model is much more accurate in prediction as compared to the RSM.
