Journal ArticleDOI

Structural and optical studies on thermal-annealed In2S3 films prepared by the chemical bath deposition technique

TL;DR: In this paper, the optical and structural properties of polycrystalline In 2 S 3 films were studied as a function of the annealing temperature and the experimental results showed that the asdeposited films are composed by a mixture of both cubic α and β crystalline phases, with some fraction of tetragonal phase.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optical properties of PbS thin films chemically deposited at different temperatures

TL;DR: In this paper, the Bruggeman's effective medium approximation and the Lorentz oscillator expression were used to analyze the ellipsometry measurements, and the complex dielectric function, thickness, roughness and void fraction of the films were examined as a function of temperature deposition.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optical band gap tuning and study of strain in CdS thin films

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors have taken advantage of the control of strains at the CdS films-substrate interfaces to obtain films with tunable energy band gap, and they have shown that on decreasing the amount of strain at the layer-to-glass substrate interface, the energy bands gap of the films also decreases.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chemically deposited CdS films in an ammonia-free cadmium-sodium citrate system

TL;DR: In this article, the properties of chemically deposited CdS thin films in a cadmium-sodium citrate system were determined from X-ray diffraction, optical transmission and reflection spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy measurements.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optical properties and layer microstructure of CdS films obtained from an ammonia-free chemical bath deposition process

TL;DR: In this article, the optical and structural properties of chemically deposited CdS films obtained from an ammonia-free chemical bath deposition process were reported, which is based in the substitution of ammonia by sodium citrate as the complexing agent in the reaction solution.
