Journal ArticleDOI

Extramedullary Relapse of Acute Leukemia after Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation: Different Characteristics between Acute Myelogenous Leukemia and Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

TL;DR: The prognosis for EMR of AL is poor, and treatment options are very limited; however, the estimated 3-year overall survival was significantly lower in patients with AML compared with those with ALL, possibly suggesting different pathogenetic mechanisms for ERT of AML and E MR of ALL after allo-HSCT; further investigation is needed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Combination of a haploidentical SCT with an unrelated cord blood unit: a single-arm prospective study

TL;DR: The co-infusion of an unrelated cord blood unit may potentially improve the outcome of haploidentical allogeneic hematopoietic SCT, and the BU/Cy-based conditional regimen showed a significant superiority over TBI/CY on PFS.
Journal ArticleDOI

Clinical and molecular features of acute promyelocytic leukemia with variant retinoid acid receptor fusions

TL;DR: The vast majority of APL patients bear t(15;17)(q24;q21) involving the promyelocytic leukemia ( PML) gene at chromosome, which means that the majority of patients with APL have at least one copy of the PML gene.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation versus Haploidentical Donor Stem Cell Transplantation for Favorable- and Intermediate-Risk Acute Myeloid Leukemia Patients in First Complete Remission

TL;DR: It is concluded that both auto-S CT and haplo-SCT were acceptable options for postremission treatment of patients with favorable- and intermediate-risk AML, and clearance of MRD before SCT could improve the prognosis after transplantation.
