Ja n 20 03 How robust is a quantum gate in the presence of noise ?

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors define several quantitative measures of the robustness of a quantum gate against noise and obtain analytic upper bounds on the value of the threshold for quantum computation, with the best bound in the most pessimistic error model being pth ≤ 0.5.

Entanglement, Quantum Phase Transitions, and Density

TL;DR: In this paper, the role of entanglement in quantum phase transitions is investigated, and it is shown that the success of the densitymatrix renormalization group (DMRG) in understanding such phase transition is due to the way it preserves entenglement under renormalisation.
