BF3-etherate promoted alkylation of aziridines with organocopper reagents: a new synthesis of amines

TL;DR: Boron trifluoride etherate promotes nucleophilic ring opening of a variety of substituted aziridines by diorganocopperlithium reagents leading to both primary and secondary amines as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

An improved synthesis of D-perosamine and some derivatives.

TL;DR: On part du α-D-mannose protege en 1, 2 et 3, while l'oxydation du OH en position 4 en cetone puis le psaage par un mesylate puis par un azidure permet d'obtenir la O-methyl-1 α- D-perosamine.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of 1,4,6-Trideoxy-1,4-imino-D-mannitol: a potent α-mannosidase inhibitor

TL;DR: Trihydroxypyrrolidine 4, readily synthesized in one step from the naturally occurring sugar D-perosamine, is ten times more active than swainsonine as a competitive inhibitor of jackbean α-mannosidase as discussed by the authors.
