Journal ArticleDOI

Double-blind study comparing aztreonam with placebo for prophylaxis of infection following prostatic surgery.

TL;DR: In patients treated with aztreonam there was a significant reduction in the number of patients diagnosed with post-operative bacteriuria and the number requiring treatment of post-operatively bacterialiuria, and there was no increase in the frequency of infections due to Gram-positive bacterial species.
Journal Article

Detection of chlamydia trachomatis in general practice urine samples

TL;DR: The cost, medically and financially, of screening for this pathogen and treating infected patients and contacts is likely to be less than ignoring it, particularly if screening is confined to the 16-30 years age group.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of transcription factors and coactivators affected by dibutylphthalate interactions in fetal rat testes.

TL;DR: The data indicate that PPARα may act as an indirect transrepressor of SF1 on steroidogenic genes in fetal rat testes in response to DBP treatment, and the repressive effect of DBP on SF1-regulated steroidogenicGenes correlates with inhibition ofSF1-DNA binding and increased PPAR α- DNA binding.
