Application of spheroid models to account for aerosol particle nonsphericity in remote sensing of desert dust
Oleg Dubovik,Oleg Dubovik,Alexander Sinyuk,Tatyana Lapyonok,Brent N. Holben,Michael I. Mishchenko,Ping Yang,Thomas F. Eck,Thomas F. Eck,Hester Volten,Olga Muñoz,Ben Veihelmann,Wim J. van der Zande,Jean-François Léon,Michael Sorokin,Ilya Slutsker +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used shape mixtures of randomly oriented spheroids for modeling desert dust aerosol light scattering, and the results indicated that nonspherical particles with aspect ratios similar to 1.5 dominate in desert dust plumes, while in the case of background maritime aerosol spherical particles are dominant.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cu ions irradiation-induced defects in graphene and their effects on optical properties
Shaikh Muhammad Jahanzaib,Abdul Jalil,Samson O. Aisida,Zhao Tingkai,Chang Fu Dee,Michael Sorokin,Ishaq Ahmad,Anwar Ul-Hamid +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the radiation-induced damage in graphene irradiated with 8-MeV Cu 2+ ions at fluences varying from 1 × 10 15 ions/cm 2 to 2 × 10 16 ions /cm 2 was studied.
