Journal ArticleDOI

Gene essentiality and the topology of protein interaction networks.

TL;DR: It is shown that the essentiality of a gene in yeast is poorly related to the number of interactants (or degree) of the corresponding protein and that the physiological consequences of gene deletions are unrelated to several other properties of proteins in the interaction networks, such as the average degrees of their nearest neighbours, their clustering coefficients or their relative distances.
Journal ArticleDOI

SLEκ growth processes and conformal field theories

TL;DR: In this article, a connection between conformal field theories with central charges c κ = 1 2 (3κ−8)( 6 κ −1) and zero modes is established.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dipolar stochastic Loewner evolutions

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present basic properties of dipolar stochastic Loewner evolutions (SLEs), a new version of SLEs in which the critical interfaces end randomly on an interval of the boundary of a planar domain.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spikes in quantum trajectories

TL;DR: In this article, a quantum system subjected to a strong continuous monitoring undergoes quantum jumps and sharp scale-invariant fluctuations invariably decorate the jump process, even in the limit where the measurement rate is very large.
Journal ArticleDOI

Level-rank duality in nonunitary coset theories

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the conformal field theories SU(n)k*SU(m)1/SU(n))k+1 and SU(m, n)l*SUm 1/SUm 2+1+1 are equivalent, where k+n = n/m, l+m=m/n, for a pair of relatively prime positive integers.
