Journal ArticleDOI
Adsorption of lead and cadmium ions from aqueous solution to the montmorillonite/water interface
TL;DR: In this article, the sorption of Pb and Cd(II) from aqueous solution to the montmorillonite/water interface was studied as a function of pH, for three concentrations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Kinetics of cadmium accumulation and elimination in carp Cyprinus carpio tissues.
TL;DR: The data showed that Cadmium exposure produces significant cadmium uptake in tissues, and in kidney and liver, the toxic concentration increased as the concentration of pollutant in water increased.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cadmium Bioaccumulation in Carp (Cyprinus carpio) Tissues during Long-Term High Exposure: Analysis by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry
TL;DR: The reported data indicate that Cadmium exposure results in significant cadmium uptake, but the pattern of this uptake varies with the organ, and the high contamination levels reached suggest that such muscle would be unsuitable for human consumption.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cadmium accumulation and metallothionein biosynthesis in Cyprinus carpio tissues
Journal ArticleDOI
The Use of Eucalyptus Barks for the Adsorption of Heavy Metal Ions and Dyes
TL;DR: In this paper, Eucalyptus barks harvested in Lebanon were used for the adsorption of pollutants such as heavy metal ions and dyes and the results obtained showed that the retention capacity increased with contact time, pH and initial metal ion concentration but decreased with temperature.
