Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental Results of a 500 m HTS Power Cable Field Test

TL;DR: In this paper, a 500 m High-Tc superconducting (HTS) cable was tested at the CRIEPI laboratory in Yokosuka from March 2004 to March 2005, where the cable consisted of a cold dielectric core with nominal capacity of 77 kV and 1 kA.
Journal ArticleDOI

Magnetic characteristics of a high-T/sub c/ superconducting cylinder for magnetic shielding type superconducting fault current limiter

TL;DR: In this paper, the experimental results of magnetic flux penetration into a Bi(2223) cylindrical HTS bulk cylinder are shown, and the results of computer simulations considering the voltage-current (E-J) characteristic are compared with experiments.
Journal ArticleDOI

Superconducting Sr0.875Nd0.125CuO2−δ thin films

TL;DR: In this paper, a single-phase SNCO2−δ (SNCO) thin film was fabricated by a pulsed-laser deposition technique and it was demonstrated that, when deposited onto a Pr2CuO4 buffer layer formed on a SrTiO3 substrate, the a-axis length of the thin film increased up to 0.395 nm.
Journal ArticleDOI

Superconducting Thin Films of “Infinite-Layer” Sr1-xNdxCuOy Synthesized by Pulsed-Laser Deposition

TL;DR: Sr1-xNdxCuOy thin films were grown on SrTiO3 substrates by a pulsed-laser deposition technique as mentioned in this paper, and the films with x=0.10 and 0.125 had onset temperatures of superconducting transition around 26 K.
Journal ArticleDOI

Demonstration and verification tests of 500 m long HTS power cable

TL;DR: In this article, the authors provided a brief summary of the HTS cable test system with a length of 500 m constructed in the Yokosuka area of CRIEPI.
