New 14C Dates of Neolithic and Early Metal Period Ceramics in Lithuania

TL;DR: In this paper, radiocarbon dates of charred food remains, charcoal, burned animals, and human bones from 14 Lithuanian prehistoric sites were dated by radiocaranels as part of a dating project oriented towards renewing the prehistoric ceramics chronology, which modified the dating of ceramic styles by hundreds to a thousand years.

Linguistics and Archaeology: A Critical View of an Interdisciplinary Approach with Reference to the Prehistory of Northern Scandinavia

TL;DR: Archaeology and linguistics both have multiple methodologies and research materials, some fundamental differences can be discerned between them already from the outset as discussed by the authors, while linguistics and archaeological research materials almost always have an absolute chronology in years, whereas linguistic shifts, changes and vocabulary layers can, in most cases, only be dated relatively, in a relation to other shifts and changes.
