Journal ArticleDOI

Anti-tumor effects and associated molecular mechanisms of myricetin.

TL;DR: Evidence of myricetin's anti-tumor activity and its underlying molecular mechanisms published in the last decade are summarized.
Journal ArticleDOI

Combined chemotherapy with cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitors in treating human cancers: Recent advancement

TL;DR: Recent advances in cancer control and treatment using various antineoplastic drugs combined with COX-2 inhibitors showed synergistic antitumor effects, and such a combination can reduce toxicity and chemoresistance and enhance radiosensitivity, although COX -2 inhibitors-related cardiotoxicity may potentially affect its use.
Journal ArticleDOI

Myricetin induces apoptosis and autophagy by inhibiting PI3K/Akt/mTOR signalling in human colon cancer cells.

TL;DR: It is confirmed that myricetin inhibits the proliferation of 4 kinds of colon cancer cell lines and could be used to exert tumour inhibitory effects alone or as adjuvant chemotherapy to inhibit autophagy.
