Effects of nano-SiO2 on early strength and microstructure of steam-cured high volume fly ash cement system
Min Liu,Hongbo Tan,Xingyang He +2 more
TL;DR: In this paper, nano-SiO2 (NS) was introduced in a steam-cured cementitious system to induce the early hydration, with intention to promote the early strength.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of sodium tripolyphosphate on adsorbing behavior of polycarboxylate superplasticizer
TL;DR: In this article, the adsorbing behavior of polycarboxylate superplasticizer (PC) was analyzed with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of drying techniques on the crystal structure and morphology of ettringite
TL;DR: In this article, the authors report on the extent to which common drying methods, namely D-drying, ovendrying and vacuumdrying affect the structure and morphology of ettringite produced in the laboratory.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of the Adsorbing Behavior of Phosphate Retarders on Hydration of Cement Paste
TL;DR: In this paper, it is often thought that the mechanism behind this excellent retarding effect is attributed to precipitating precipitated precipitates in cement-based materials, and it is usually considered as an excellent retarder in cementbased materials.
Journal ArticleDOI
Utilization of waste from alumina industry to produce sustainable cement-based materials
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of calcination on the physico-chemical properties of red mud was investigated and the results showed that calcination at 900 and 1000°C makes that cancrinite and birnessite present in red mud fully decompose to form nepheline and gehlenite minerals.
