Journal ArticleDOI
Sorption isotherms: A review on physical bases, modeling and measurement
G. Limousin,Jean-Paul Gaudet,Laurent Charlet,Stéphanie Szenknect,Véronique Barthès,Mohamed Krimissa +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present the physical bases underlying the definition of a sorption isotherm, different empirical or mechanistic models, and details several experimental methods to acquire a sink.
Journal ArticleDOI
Kd distributions in freshwater systems as a function of material type, mass-volume ratio, dissolved organic carbon and pH
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented statistical Kd distributions for in situ suspended matters as a function of suspended load, dissolved organic carbon and pH, and classified them using a database containing 8564 Kd values from 50 elements, using three exchange conditions (adsorption, desorption and in situ) and two environmental components (suspended and deposited sediments).

Journal ArticleDOI
Modelling of solid / liquid fractionation of trace metals for suspended sediments according to the hydro-sedimentary conditions of rivers - Application to 137Cs in the Rhône River (France)
Wirginia Tomczak,Patrick Boyer,Frédérique Eyrolle,Olivier Radakovitch,Mohamed Krimissa,Hugo Lepage,Muriel Amielh,Fabien Anselmet +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a model of solid/liquid fractionation of trace metals with suspended sediments in rivers is presented, which integrates the hydro-sedimentary conditions and the properties of the watershed.
