Phase change material for enhancing solar water heater, an experimental approach

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of using phase change materials (PCM) as storage medium on the performance of a solar water heater have been experimentally investigated, where a type of paraffin wax is used as PCM in spherical capsules as storage material in the tank of the solar tank.
Journal ArticleDOI

Energy efficiency optimization of the waste heat recovery system with embedded phase change materials in greenhouses: A thermo-economic-environmental study

TL;DR: In this article, the waste heat recovery system (HRS) in two forms of with and without embedded phase change material (PCM) added to the existing heating system, and their effects studied experimentally.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of fresh beef and camel meat proteolysis during cold storage

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the semitendinosus protease activity of camel meat was superior to that of beef, which may have been due to the difference in pH decline.
Journal ArticleDOI

Energy cost and efficiency analysis of greenhouse heating system enhancement using phase change material: An experimental study

TL;DR: In this article, the possibility of reusing and storing the waste heat by phase change material (PCM) in a sample greenhouse was studied experimentally, and the results showed that the effect of preheating the heater air gives rise to a 23.7% reduction of gas consumption and the effect is much more pronounced compared to the direct using of the stored heat.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Effects of Flaxseed Oil Omega-3 Fatty Acids Supplementation on Metabolic Status of Patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome: A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Trial.

TL;DR: Overall, flaxseed oil omega-3 supplementation for 12 weeks in women with PCOS had beneficial effects on insulin metabolism, mF-G scores, serum triglycerides, VLDL-cholesterol and hs-CRP levels, but did not affect hormonal and other lipid profiles, and plasma nitric oxide levels.
