Journal ArticleDOI

Sol–gel nanostructured titanium dioxide: Controlling the crystal structure, crystallite size, phase transformation, packing and ordering

TL;DR: In this article, the anatase phase of titania was stabilised with physically modifying particulate sol-gel process, and two major parameters, peptisation temperature and drying temperature, were identified which were responsible for retarding anatase to rutile phase transformation, crystal growth and packing of primary particles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nanostructured TiO2–CeO2 mixed oxides by an aqueous sol–gel process: Effect of Ce:Ti molar ratio on physical and sensing properties

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of Ce:Ti molar ratio on the crystallization behavior of nanostructured TiO 2 -CeO 2 thin films and powders was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

In vitro study of hydroxyapatite/polycaprolactone (HA/PCL) nanocomposite synthesized by an in situ sol-gel process.

TL;DR: The prepared HA/PCL scaffolds showed good potential for bone tissue engineering and could be used for many clinical applications in orthopedic and maxillofacial surgery.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of high surface area nanocrystalline anatase-TiO2 powders derived from particulate sol-gel route by tailoring processing parameters

TL;DR: In this article, stabilised titania sols were prepared using an additive free particulate sol-gel route, via electrostatic stabilisation mechanism, with various processing parameters, such as peptisation temperature, 50°C and 70°C, and TiO2 concentration, 0.1,0.2 and 0.4 molar, were chosen as processing parameters during sol preparation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sensor performance of nanostructured TiO2 thin films derived from particulate sol–gel route and polymeric fugitive agents

TL;DR: In this article, high specific surface area (SSA) nanocrystalline powders and dip-coated TiO 2 thin films have been prepared by a particulate sol-gel route with added polymeric fugitive agents (PFAs), namely trehalose dihydrate (THD), polyethylene glycol (PEG6000) and hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC).
