The dynamic relaxation method using new formulation for fictitious mass and damping
TL;DR: In this paper, a modified Dynamic Relaxation algorithm, called mdDR, was proposed by minimizing displacement error between two successive iterations, and the results obtained from linear and nonlinear structural analysis, either by finite element or finite difference techniques, demonstrate the potential ability of the proposed scheme compared to the conventional DR algorithm.
Journal ArticleDOI
Free vibration analysis of functionally graded hybrid matrix/fiber nanocomposite conical shells using multiscale method
TL;DR: In this article, a numerical solution for free vibration analysis of nanocomposite conical shells is proposed, where the First-Order Shear Deformation Theory (FSDT) is used to achieve the governing equations.
Journal ArticleDOI
A new method of fictitious viscous damping determination for the dynamic relaxation method
TL;DR: In this article, a method for calculating the viscous fictitious damping of the dynamic relaxation (DR) method was developed to overcome one of the most crucial difficulties in its application -the low convergence rate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Implicit Higher-Order Accuracy Method for Numerical Integration in Dynamic Analysis
TL;DR: New implicit higher-order accuracy (IHOA) time integration, which uses constant time step, is presented for dynamic analysis and shows that the proposed time integration is stable for common time steps and exhibits improved accuracy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nonlinear analysis of FG-sandwich plates and shells
TL;DR: In this paper, a mixed interpolation of strain fields, including in-plane and shear strains, is used for nonlinear analysis of FG-sandwich plate and shell structures.
