Methods for in vitro evaluating antimicrobial activity: A review

TL;DR: An exhaustive list of in vitro antimicrobial susceptibility testing methods and detailed information on their advantages and limitations are reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reduction of biofilm formation on 3D printing materials treated with essential oils major compounds

TL;DR: In this paper , the effect of thymol and carvacrol on the physicochemical characteristics of DMHB and PET using the contact angle method was investigated, and the results showed that the studied major compounds significantly reduced the amount of biofilm formation of Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli on both supports studied.

Comparison of the evolution of physico-chemical properties due to the single and combined adhesion of two species of the Penicillium genus on cedar wood.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the evolution of physicochemical properties before and after the spores adhesion of Penicillium expansum and P. commun on the surface of cedar wood.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new composition silver doped-bioglass: Synthesis, in vitro bioactivity and antibacterial study and comparison with the binary SiO2-CaO and ternary SiO2-CaO-P2O5 systems

TL;DR: In this paper , a silver-doped bioactive antibacterial glass was prepared by a solgel method and compared with two glasses in the systems SiO2-CaO and SiO 2 -CaO-P2O5.
