Journal ArticleDOI

Biopolymeric Sustainable Materials and their Emerging Applications

TL;DR: An overview of the latest knowledge of different natural and synthetic-based biodegradable polymers and their fiber-reinforced composites is presented in this paper , which discusses different degradation mechanisms of biopolymer-based composites as well as their sustainability aspects.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanical characterization of glass and jute fiber-based hybrid composites fabricated through compression molding technique

TL;DR: In this article, the impact properties of glass and jute fiber reinforced epoxy composites are studied experimentally according to ASTM standards, and it is found that damage area decreases with increasing jute percentage in glass/jute hybrid composite.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tensile strength evaluation of glass/jute fibers reinforced composites: An experimental and numerical approach

TL;DR: In this article, the tensile properties of natural and synthetic fiber-reinforced hybrid composites are reported, and errors between experimental and numerical simulations are found for different stacking sequences due to non-uniformity in jute fiber diameter and the manufacturing process adopted for these hybrid composite materials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Corrosion detection and severity level prediction using acoustic emission and machine learning based approach

TL;DR: In this article, a hybrid approach using a hybrid technique that combines the detection of corrosion through acoustic emission signals from accelerated corrosion testing with machine learning techniques to accurately predict the corrosion severity levels.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Anodizing Process on Inter Laminar Shear Strength of GLARE Composite through T-Peel Test: Experimental and Numerical Approach

TL;DR: In this paper, anodizing process enhances the interlaminar shear strength (ILSS) of glass laminate aluminum reinforced epoxy (GLARE) composite, which is a vital class fiber metal laminates and advanced aircraft material.
