Study of corrosion in biocompatible metals for implants: A review

TL;DR: In this paper, the applications of three main types of biocompatible metal, namely, stainless steels, cobalt-chromium alloys, and titanium and its alloys are reviewed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Porous NiTi alloy by metal injection moulding/sintering of elemental powders: Effect of sintering temperature

TL;DR: In this paper, open porous NiTi is fabricated by metal injection molding (MIM) of elemental Ni and Ti powders, followed by thermal debinding and transient liquid phase (TLP) sintering.
Journal ArticleDOI

Manganese-Doped Cerium Oxide Nanocomposite Induced Photodynamic Therapy in MCF-7 Cancer Cells and Antibacterial Activity.

TL;DR: The antibacterial activity and effectiveness for photodynamic therapy were enhanced in the presence of the manganese-doped ceria nanocomposite, which could be attributed to the correlation of the maximum reactive oxygen species generation for targeted toxicity and maximum antioxidant property in bacteria growth inhibition.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Heat Treatment on Mechanical Properties and Microstructure of Selective Laser Melting 316L Stainless Steel

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of heat treatments on the micro-hardness of 316L stainless steel parts was investigated and the results revealed that the micro hardness of the as-built compacts is between 209.0 and 212.2 HV.
Journal ArticleDOI

MiR-421, miR-155 and miR-650: emerging trends of regulation of cancer and apoptosis.

TL;DR: This work attempts to provide an overview of long non coding RNAs and in vivo and in vitro studies are deepening understanding regarding miR-421, mir-155 and miR -650 mediated regulation of cellular activities.
